After her debut many guestroles in TV-Series like “Boston Public” [2001], “Family Affair” [2002], “Crossing Jordan” [2004], “7th Heaven” [2004], “24″ [2005], “Veronica Mars” [2005], “Ugly Betty” [2005], “Numb3rs” [2006], “House M.D.” [2006], “CSI Miami” [2007] – just to name a few – followed.

Being so busy paid off when Leighton was offered the character of Blair Waldorf on CW “Gossip Girl”, the show we all supposedly love. Leighton, whose teenage-life hardly ever had any similarity to the one Blair’s leading about her character on Gossip Girl: “She’s a good girl really. It’s really fun to play because she says and does things that most people don’t have the courage to do in real life” … “I know she’s the bitchy one. But she’s a good girl. The funny thing is she’s not like a normal character on one of these types of shows. Usually the bad girl is the bitch. It’s interesting and she’s actually a real girl. Of course she does and says the most outrageous things that you would never even think to do in real life”.

But being pretty isn’t Leightons only gift: The actress who plays the bitch we all love to hate also is a talented singer and currently also working on her very own Album. “It’s electronic-y, some electric guitar, some keyboard. I have a huge range of songs. Some of them I just talk, I do a little–not rapping–but talking, sort of spoken word. It’s a little Fergie, a little like Gwen Stefani and M.I.A.”.
