   yeahh theres quite a few books actually, but the vast majority of the tv series is nothing like it! in the book cyrus rose is blair’s stepdad.

    Let’s please not share details from the books. For those of us who haven’t read the series and are just enjoying the show, it can be a real let down if people blurt out spoilers.

    If it’s consolation to anyone, the show deviates largely from the book series, so I’m sure there’ll be something exciting to look forward to. x]

    Caroline: you have trouble watching the episode because it hasn’t aired yet. It will air next Monday (November 10) so watch it on TV or online then.

    Can’t wait for this episode!

    There is some stuff from the novels in the show but I think the show is better personally. Like how D and S lasted way longer than in the book.

    personally, i dont like the last episode.. the chuck and blair scenes were quite cute.. somehow romantic, but the scenes about jenny.. eeek!! i wanna puke.. and they said that there will be more about aaron, which was a big lie.. i dont like aaron personally but he’s ok.. the episode didnt seem to be complete, i mean i expected more from that episode. the spoilers made it seem more exciting than what it was

    Gossip girl has been a book for ages, well actually theres a few books, but yeah the show is only loosely based on it, like yeah its got the same characters but some are really different, like Vanessa has a shaved head and only wears black in the book, and Georgina and Nate were going out. Both the book and the show are great though! xoxo

    Yeah i remember reading the book series about two years ago, i loved it when i found out they were making gossip girl a programme, as i always thought it would make a good one..
    Gossip girl and one tree hill. The best tv shows in my opinion lol.
    Chuck bass is hot ! Cant wait for this episode !

    Gossip Girl is actually a book series. There are eleven books in total. Kelly, no we don’t necessarily know everything that happens. The books and the TV show are extremely different from each other. In the books Dan and Serena don’t even amount to a relationship. I believe they get one cup of coffee. Vanessa is nowhere near beautiful and wears all black is bald and wears black Doc Martins. Dan is scrawny, chain smokes and drinks stale coffee while writing bad poems on scraps of napkin. He definitely doesn’t have aspirations to go to Yale. My point is that the books and TV show have formed their own identities and I don’t even think of them together at all. They are very different stories.

    yeah i think as the show progresses they are trying to link the show with the novel.. for those of us who have read the novel can see it from jenny and nate’s relationship.. which is what actually happened in the novel.. i wonder what more is to come.. could aaron be related to cyrus rose? and what about the relationship between cyrus rose and eleanor waldrof? i guess we’ll just have to wait and find out.. sorry for ruining it guys!

    i’ve read the books too. Aaron is Cyrus Rose’s son. If I remember correctly, Aaron actually has a secret crush on Blair, his would-be stepsister.

    And as much as i absolutely and possitively LOVE and ADORE Chuck Bass, he becomes gay is the book series…. :((
