Alone, with love; can they handle it?
Hey guys! What do you think of the”Lost Boy” clip with Blair and Chuck?
Ok, now, we seem to get that they’re meant for each other and we have to admit we did enjoy those brief scenes of loving relationship; they deserve it, after all the hurt and the plots. But as Blair pointed out herself…“summer’s over”. and after the kissing and the big declaration of love at the season 2 finale, we want them to get back to good ol’ B and C scheming and bad deeds. We want some fun. It could be so great: Chuck’s cynism combined with Blair bitchy plans -always with style of course. An increasing number of GG fans grow bored with the routine of the turtledoves -in spite of the games played in the season premiere…
Well don’t worry, apparently season 3 is on its great dramatic way, and these two will not be left out of it. Take a look at the “Lost Boy” episode preview and especially at one of the two episode clips online and you’ll see everything’s going back to normal. Isn’t it what the theme of the monday episode is about “the more things change, the more people remain the same” or something like that?
I seize the opportunity of this slow season opening to try have a larger view of this couple, in my opinion one of the best tv series couples ever. What do you think will happen to their relationship in the long-term? Short-term forecasts can be tough to make; but from here to the end of the season? When last year we saw them struggling in the Hamptons, didn”‘t we strongly believe that by the end of season 2 they would be together again?
The latest poll posted on the site only gives one possible choice: either they stay together or they don”t…Could they do both?
Let’s take a look at the short clip from the “Lost Boy” episode, the one where Chuck dismisses Blair who suprised him with breakfast and was hoping for something more.. Chuck argues with his important business meeting, his “one shot” as opposed to Blair’s “endless fount of do-overs” and we would tend to agree with him if it wasn’t for Blair’s sharp lines, suggesting that this “excuse” is run out, after five days without them having sex…
Here’s what this little but spicy scene, where we finally see them in some kind of argument, get me thinking: in spite of Chuck declaration of love, we feel like Blair is the one fighting for this relationship: let us not forget how painfully and completely she loves him (2×25 “I love you so much it consumes me”) and she has all the more reason to do so in the season since as she mentions it, he’s all she’s got left. And Chuck Bass is the one she really gave herself to in the first place…She tries her best to spice up their relationship, sometimes too much (but that’s typical of Blair and we love her for that) anticipating Chuck’s to be boredom or desires…As we know she’s always seeing ahead and not seizing the day. There”s a reason Chuck in the clip clearly says “I’ll make it up to you”: he has to catch up with her. And I have a feeling this issue will be risen more than once in the season.. Remember how hard it was for Chuck not to indulge in cowardice when Blair was going to the dark side? Either he feels like she’s too great for him or like she’s too far away for him to reach… There was a time where he managed to catch up with her through saying three words and eight letters; but now that this is taken for granted on both his and her side, he must come up with new evidence of his love for her…
Chuck doesn”t really seem to be prepared for this love evidence race, he’s got his father business to worry about. And he’s Chuck Bass…The “quality time” Blair would like to spend with him may not appeal to him anymore: he suspects it whereas she knows for sure…
Is it just a matter of time before, under the cover of Bass industry, Chuck gets tired of Blair?
Still, let’s keep in mind that Blair is strong-determined and that her love for Chuck never prevented her from getting somewhere else what she could not get with him….Nate or Marcus proved it. Who would it be this time? As crazy as it may sound, I really think it would be a huge and dramatic turn of events if Blair picked up Dan whom by the way Chuck loathes..
The question remains: who will be the first to let go?
Tick-tock tick-tock…
Please post your dramatic overviews of what could possibly happen to Blair and Chuck this season!!!

Omg they r just together and now you’re already talking about breaking up?
hey,
I wrote “long-term”…and I asked myself considering the clip of the next episode and the fact that I read from many fans of the show that they’re getting bored with blair and chuck in love and happy which is dramatically speaking true..
But don’t get me wrong, I LOVE seeing them as a couple and if they ever break up, I shall pray that they’ll get back together….Seeing them being finally together at season 2 finale was according to me one of the best ending ever!!!
oh i’m sorry.
From the first episode of the latest season, I had quite a hard time understanding the way their relationship worked. And after seeing the second episode, in which I didn’t see much reference to their relationship, I started thinking that it was a funny and exciting thing for the 3rd Season’s pilot. But after so much struggling during season 2,for ‘em both to finally get together, do we still want to see them fight for their couple? I mean, can’t things be simple ? I’m afraid that I get bored with them always going through new complications.
I really hope that Blair and Dan aren’t ever gonna start anything, how could it be anyway ? Doesn’t she love chuck more than anything ( except herself of course) ? Why would she do that? and why would Dan get close to her after what he did to her at Georgina’s Jesus-bitch-is-back party ?
