Do you ever wish you were just a little bit like Blair Waldorf? Beautiful, stylish, popular and confident, she’s a winner in anyones book. Plus, she’s on the brink of having Chuck Bass for her own. Who WOULDN’T want to be Blair right now?

One thing Blair is notorious for is having a great sense of style. If you’re looking to follow it for yourself, why not?! Go for it!

Try to recreate Blair’s style. Before you dash out and buy anything that reminds you of her, try to break down exactly how you’d pin her style to be.

She’s a classical preppy girl with a flawless sense of style. Her outfit is always perfectly polished and she wouldn’t wear an unfinished piece – meaning every detail is prim and proper before leaving the house. Have you ever noticed she doesn’t wear jeans? Or hardly ever – She’s a skirt and dress lady all the way, just like a classical woman. Her style’s incredibly girly too, teamed with things like big bows, lace and headbands.

Take that for instance. She’s wearing a pretty dress with lacey touches, plus a cute headband. Notice how her pieces always encoperate something signature like a headband. Try out some cute ones and see if they suit you.

Blair’s a very party-dress girl, and she often wears them, even to casual occasions. She wears blouses, cardigans, pencil skirts, high-waisted pieces and cute additions like neckerchiefs or a pair of gloves.

Two nice, everyday examples of general Blairware. In the first she’s a total prep with a pinned back fringe, curly locks, a blouse and a girly cardigan. Remember that anything scholarlike is probably very Blair.

In the second, she wears a tailored jacket, meaning it’s fitted. She’s also wearing a pair of high-waisted shorts and a preppy jumper, with a belt on the shorts which highly emphasizes her waistline. And a cute pair of bright tights to liven up her outfit!

See? Although, granted, these vibrant pieces don’t often make it onto Blair, occasionally they do. So try out a few flowery, bright, vintage and patterned dresses and see how they suit you. Things you should never forget in mimicking Queen B!

  • Headbands are a must. Any shape of form; it’s Blair!
  • Brightly coloured tights. They Blair-up any normal dress.
  • Curled hair. It’s pretty on B and will be on you too.
  • Trench coats. Whether plaid or plain, they’re B alright.
  • Be clean! Brushed hair, flawless makeup, clean nails, nice-smelling breath, no body odour!! It sounds incredibly obvious to put, but the amount of people who forget… Yuck! So Unblair!
  • To look FABULOUS at all times; whether lounging about the house or partying at a club.
  • And remember – you’re not ACTUALLY Blair Waldorf :P Keep it real!

Now you’ve got a nice idea of how Blair dresses, you can start recreating the stuff for yourself. For cheap versions of clothes like hers, try places like Nordstrom, Charlotte Russe, Dorothy Perkins, H&M. ShopBop have a lot of cute and affordable dresses that scream Blair! Nordstrom carry many trench coats, helpful in being Blairesque. And – don’t kill me just yet – Abercrombie and Fitch. Yes, you heard me right! They carry very cute preppy jumpers and polos that maybe even Blair would grace. Well, probably not, but you get the idea, right? Remember to look of high-quality, structured, as-best-fitted-as-you-can, preppy and polished pieces.
