uhm. i love the show.
the b0oks are ok. but the show is much more interesting. <3 and ed westwick ( chuck bass ) is the hottest of them all. and blair is the most glamorous,hot,gorgeous girl. they’re awsome

I picked up one of the books at my teenage niece’s house during the summer and actually, I like the show better. For one, the characters aren’t extreme stereotypes, like they are in the book. Serena is much more personable, and Dan isn’t a mopey emo kid. The book series is no more than a skimmer.

I’ve read the books and you are taking this to seriously. Yes the books were addictive and entertaining but they were hardly classics and part of the time not even written very well. Not worth preserving to the letter. Personally, I enjoy the books and the show and agree with alot of the changes they made because they translate better in a long running screen series. They only thing i don’t like that they changed is giving the parents bigger roles and even storylines…frankly that is usually when I go and get a snack

You all seriously need to read the books. If you did, you would HATE the show. Everything is screwed up in the TV show. In the books, Dan & Serena went on one date and it flopped. Blair and Nate were together for 90% of the book series, and everyone hated Chuck Bass. Oh yea, he ends up gay in the books. One of the biggest plots of the book was Blair losing her virginity to nate… and it doesn’t happen until like the 7th book. Meanwhile, she looses it to sleazy chuck bass?
This show is a disgrace.
