Yes, anybody can simply list the clothing items being worn and stamp a ‘do’ or ‘don’t’ label on the end.
What I mean is, people can see for themselves what she is wearing. You might be better off to point out WHY it is wrong to combine these things.
For example, the first picture brings in too many colours. While purple and orange are complimentary colours, the sky-blue adds just a bit too much. If she had toned it down slightly with a pair of black jeans, the outfit would go quite nicely.
Perhaps it is merely a teenage website, and perhaps you do know how to spell. So if you know how to spell, then why deliberately create spelling mistakes? That seems a little silly to me.
And finally, as has been mentioned, it is a good idea to learn to accept criticism since it is the only way to learn, and much of the advice given to you here is very good.

I just wanted to point out that ‘hayley’ is right on track. You want to become a fashion reporter? Learn how to take criticism, though, true, this site is based off a lot of teenage viewers, and you all know how to spell, if you are interested in becoming a journalist, you’re going to have to use correct grammar.

Also, I would also like to point out that ‘Georgia’ was actually kind of nice about this, I don’t know why everyone is attacking her.

As for your review, like everyone else is saying, this is how Vanessa dresses on the show, not how Jessica Szohr dresses. Also, probably not the best thing to list everything she is saying, then say ‘DON’T’ or “DO’.

Doc Martens are actually quite fashionable, and even “trendy.” They are a classic icon of the 90’s grunge fashion era, and are seen nowadays on runways and magazines for nostalgic chic.

hi jessica, i’ve done some journalism myself and it’s a really great field, so good luck with it my one piece of advice or feedback to you, though, would be to learn to take constructive criticism – you put your work up on the site and asked for feedback, which is really brave and admirable of you, to put yourself out there like that. but then when someone comes along who genuinely wants to help, you said: “We are not running a newspaper where a lot of adults are reading. Most of our viewers are teenagers. So just let loose. We all know how to spell and we’re all great with punctuation but we just like to have FUN sometimes.” which is fine, i can totally see where you’re coming from, but if you ask for feedback then you have to be able to take it and possibly learn from it. ‘feedback’ was just trying to help, and they’re right, you do need to look out for punctuation and grammar if you want to be a journalist. if this was just some “fun” and you didnt want negative feedback, maybe you shouldnt have asked people their opinion?

ok I think that you make a good point and all,
but you need to know that Jessica has a great style but she has to wear ugly things on Gossip girl to fit her character as Vanessa.
All of the ones that you said were radiant or beautiful were Jessica’s real style, and the ones you said were ugly were just the things she wears on gossip girl.

much agreed with “soop”; it’s VANESSA, and that’s how her character dresses. her clothes are picked to suit her character, not your fashion sense.
I’d like to share a few thoughts.
first, you should try to find something positive about everything; it does get a little exhausting, like “anonnn” said. don’t criticize her wearing “this plus this plus this and this,” just say that certain things don’t go well together or suit her body type, but certain things do and look good on her as well.

…and you ARE trying too hard to be witty and funny (as “soop” said). i’m a journalist, and I think that even though this is the internet, etc if you really want to do this for a living, you should start a fashion blog – if you want to be able to attract lots of regular readers and subscribers, you DEFINITELY need to write with good vocabulary, spelling, and especially capitalization. if you’re in middle school or high school, that is definitely the first step to getting anywhere. it will give you some good experience, please trust me.

and thanks “feedback,” I think you have a very valid point. i understand this is the internet, but “feedback” gave some wonderful advice, and it was meant well (as is this), especially in relation to what you want to do with your future – which is why you asked on sidereel for others to give you advice for what to do in life. start with a blog that’s worth reading – normal language, good vocabulary and spelling, etc with a good meaning (that’s very important.) maybe talk about style, body types, fashion of the week or whatever instead of just criticizing the stars. if you’re in middle school or high school, an exceppent example (finalist for teen blogs, written by a high schooler) is http://www.misscouturable.com/

the poofy black jacket was worn because it was friggin cold and she had to take it off when they began shooting. They are in new york while it’s winter after all and all she’s wearing is tights and a small jacket. and like what the other people said, all these pics are of VANESSA not JESSICA! Her character is supposed to be all crazy and “don’t give a shit” attitude and whatnot. plus, her pink shoes and leather-looking tights were cool looking. Oh and you don’t sound natural when you’re trying to make fun of how she’s dressing. You sound like you’re trying too hard to be witty and funny.
