It has been confirmed: The Gossip Girl spinoff will be about Lily as a teenager. An episode in May will take the form of a prequel, laying the groundwork for a spinoff that could make its debut as soon as the fall, the CW network said.
The episode will chronicle the exploits of Lily Rhodes, whom CW calls a “wild child teenager in Los Angeles in the 1980s.” How does Lily end up in NYC? Stay tuned for more details. xoxo You know you love me.

The “It Girl” spin off would have owned.
I am on the fence on this one, Lily seems to be ALOT like S when she (Lily) was younger. And she did date Rufus, who im sure is like Dan, so I’m just worried that they will repeat the Dan+S story. They will have to keep it fresh, totally rooting for them tho. A little more back story on Lily could add more to the GG story.
80s fashion, 80s music. i think it’ll be a good show. i aggree it won’t be as successful as gossip girl. but mrs. van der woodsen has always been a mysterious one. it would be nice to learn about her wild past. and it surely won’t be the same as the dan-serena story cause rufus is part of a band called lincoln hawk so that’s awsomeee!!!
heyy i just watched episode 15 and i was totally wondering what lily was like when she was younger and a lincoln hawk groupie lol. from all the crazy stuff she and rufus have supposedly done to it being in the 80s it’ll prolly be good. but since rufus wanted to be a rock star, he must have been more wild and fun than dan, so it’ll be more interesting than the whole d+s deal, right? he does have a tattoo!

i totally think the show myte take off pending on how many supporters there are of lilly i would love to see this show and see how lilly was. And as long as gg doesnt get taken off or lower ratings due to the spin off than by all means go for it.
