Scott and Georgina out of town…what’s next?

Hey everyone! How do you like the start of season 3?

I know most of you will disagree but I was kind of disappointed by the issue of “The lost boy”, except of course for the Blair and Chuck part who made all the fun and the greatness we’re used to enjoying in this show…But what about Scott and Georgina? Even Carter was dealt with quite smoothly…if it wasn’t for very disturbing Bree Buckley at the end, we would have thought he really was that innocent…

I guess I seem to forget that season 3 is just beginning and has a long way ahead, 22 episodes left so I suppose the screenwriters don’t want to exhaust us with some huge drama before Thanksgiving..

But let’s just compare this early season with season 2..as far as I recall, the plot with Lord Marcus lasted a little longer than three episodes…Well thank god we have Little J to get back to GG basics and we can already tell with the oncoming episode preview that the plot and the characters finally found the right pace after warming up and playing with a range of confused emotions (from Vanessa tearful goodbye to Scott to Serena suspicion towards Carter…). As far as I’m concerned i’m still doutbtful about the Boston plot especially now that it appeared everything and everyone was focused in NYC; unless Georgina shows us more of that evil side we know she has -and almost appeared in the last episode, as a teaser for more malice to come- it seems to me it will just delay and spread the drama in a different time, a different place…Even Bree and Nate, rich and famous outsiders until now, have finally entered the plot through Carter…

About “the lost boy”, what disappointed me the most was the average and mediocre tension throughout the 42 minutes…I had expected Scott to tell the truth -or at least half of it- by the end of the episode after some inner struggle…I had expected Georgina to be more bitchy and to play a more elaborate game to Blair, I had expected Blair and Chuck’s fight at Sotheby’s to last and Chuck torn between Blair’s caresses and the waiting for the photography…but no, it’s the first thing to be auctioned and one minute later Serena takes it away… and I had expected Serena to drop some other way the bomb about her looking for her father…too bad…Don”t you think?

It’s like everything is starting again, except this time it’s for good, real life, big risks and cold cases coming to town.

By the way, I really hope the Carter-Bree Buckley files is worth it; but how long will they want us to hold our breath for this one?
