Oh, don’t get me started!! Now the baby boomers are picking on Taylor Momsen being too sexy for 15?!
Pahlease!! Adults are such hypocrites: they’re always right and we’re always wrong.
Ok, here’s the scoop:
Taylor Momsen goes to the Metropolitan Opera dressed in a sexy red hot Marchesa gown and the media goes wild.
“She’s dressed like a 35 year old,” they say.
“Taylor Momsen is too sexy for 15,” InSTyle writes.
The Gossip Girl joined Molly Sims and Dame Helen Mirren for the elegant evening.
Taylor was showing too much cleavage? She looked too hot for someone without wrinkles?
I don’t get it! What’s her crime? Last I checked, the Opera is pretty sophisticated and Taylor Momsen is dressed really classy. It’s not like she’s out partying and having teenage babies.
What do you guys think? I think they’re jealous!

Having seen other outfits she’s worn in the past, yes, she is far to sexy on a regular basis for being 15. This dress wasn’t nearly as bad as I had expected though. As for the writing quality of this article, I sincerely hope the writer has no aspirations for journalism.

I totally agree with the jealousy thing. Taylor looks about eighteen all of the time no matter what she wears so I don’t see what the problem is. The neckline isn’t even that revealing! It just looks like it is because of the way it’s been cut. If I looked like her then I’d be wearing dresses like that too. Taylor is a great actress and so far she hasn’t has any scandals or ceased being a great role model, the press should just leave her alone!
She’s in a difficult position. Being one of the lead acts in a majorly successful TV show, which prides itself on fashion leads to a number of expectations. You can’t tell me the media wouldn’t be ripping shreds out of her if she had shown up in a pink frilly dress made for 12 year old. 15 is an in-between age, what IS suitable for a successful 15 year old to be wearing? She needs to look classy, and I think she pulled it off, aside from the hair. She does a lot better than the majority of trampy 15 year olds I see acting like prostitutes after dark. People should give the girl a break and stop being so prudish, a few hundred years ago she would have been married off and having babies by now anyway, maybe we’re just returning to our roots, prior to christianity, when puberty was considered the beginning of womanhood.

its not about looking great in it or the fact that she went to the opera alot of people are saying statements that are beyond the point. i mean not so long ago showing cleavage at that level was too promiscuous even for people in their 20’s. this was deamed inappropriate but the younger girls are used to it since they grew up with it. its calls too much attention. showing skin at that age yet that much skin which you could of coarse compare and say its not much but at that age thats a no. thank the pop stars

I think the only thing wrong with her outfit is her hair. If it was a little longer it wouldn’t look like she was showing too much cleavage. & I think the lipstick is a little bit overdone. But apart from that, SHE LOOKS GORGEOUS!

in answer to question 1, A LOT. in fact, almost every one of my classmates (im 15) wore formal dresses a lot more revealing than that. that dress is fine, i think its jealousy. they can’t find much wrong with her, so that pick out faults with every little outfit. there’s nothing wrong with it. just get over it. also the last 2 paragraphs you wrote made no sense.

I’m 19, but i was 15 once and i would have loved to have worn a dress like that. The golden rule of taste is you can wither show of your legs of your clevage, and taylor sticks by that. It’s beautiful, elegant and CLASSY!! I’ve seen alot more racey outfits from her and other young starletts.
