Could it be true? Our little spinoff involving young Lily Van Der Woodsen might just be dead already!
Josh Schwarts admitted a while back that his idea on the spinoff was losing appeal to him, but he told us there’d still be one. But, according to insiders, he completely called off the whole spinoff without even starting. Yes, we’ll still see the little flashbacks Monday’s episode, but that might just be the last we see of young, ‘crazy’ Lily.
Looks like Brittany’s out of this show!
Other insiders reported that the spinoff was called off for many reasons, but one of them was the competition against other shows that might lose ratings for Lily’s spinoff. Can’t say I would have watched them! xD

honestly, i wasn’t going to watch it…. i don’t care. all i care about is gg! if they canceled that i’d be so sad!
i hate the idea of that spinoff. i don’t care much for an 80s flashback. and personally i don’t care about lily. and it’s either britanny snow’s acting is preposterous or the script is.
when they were airing the first season there’s been some buzz about a spinoff focused on jenny as patterned on the spinoff novel from the gossip girl books. the title is “the it girl”. i’d have much more interest in that. although that does entail jenny leaving the UES. but her character’s storyline on GG is becoming stale and maybe it’s time she spread her wings.
REAL disappointed!!! And could you imagine Kirsten Cohen and Jimmy Cooper when they were hot and heavy as teenagers from the OC?! I WOULD HAVE LOVED IT!!!! And it got good ratings! WHY DIDN’T THEY DO IT?! WWWWHHHHYYYY????!!!!
