I have to say, I found this episode a little boring. I didn’t care for the setting up of the next few character stories and the uselessness of nearly every character with the possible exception of Nate and Blair… I really found myself wanting to skip most scenes so I could see what Blair would do next… and also so I wouldn’t have to see Serena’s ick hair! What as up with that?
I did like some things though obviously. I liked Blair’s loveliness and her mini breakdown as Nate left. I liked her realisation that she didn’t deserve him and how she wasn’t going to scheme to get him back.
I liked Jenny’s smackdown to Chuck. Bam! Take that Chuck. I liked Chuck’s line of “I made a detour with a boho barista” ahahaha. Aww, I liked Vanessa and Chuck!
I… liked Chuck. OK, I didn’t much like his stupid storyline. In fact, I didn’t really like him apologising to Jenny. I just don’t see it being in character… although maybe he sees her as family and get let her see a little of the real Chuck Bass.
You know what I also liked? Huh, I liked how Chuck looked! His face is like a zillion times more attractive with a little weight. He’s not fat people! Just a little… plump? I think I like how he looks, perhaps Nate should be like “yeh, I looked good when I was fat too! Lets eat!”
*breathes* Ok, moving on before this becomes a ’stop being mean to Chuck’ rant. I will say though. I don’t find myself attracted to Ed Westwick in the slightest… just Chuck. I had the same thing happen with Spike/James Marsters. It was disappointing to realise James Marsters was unattractive.
Edit: I just listened to a radio interview with Ed… I think I love him now
… anyway. I do have to give Serena’s hair a little more attention because huh? It was so gross! Kinda like she hadn’t washed or brushed it in a week. Yick! Why?
Before I wrap this up (I don’t know if it was ever unwrapped… I think it was a pile on the floor of random sentences… kind of like magnet poetry “Ooh, I like that sentence… and that one too *stick stick*”) I do want to share a disappointment. When Serena called Cyrus to confess her sins in Spain I REALLY thought she was going to say she got married to Aaron, you know… his son!! Oh, that would have been awesome and they could have gone to Brown together and been hippies! *sigh* love!
ahem, moving on. Let’s get this wrap up started:
The Good: Blair and Nate (it hurts me to say), Jenny’s outburst! Nate going to Chuck for advice… squee!
The Bad: Dan being to scared to tell Rufus he was working (dude, you’re 18… step up!), Gabriel (although his voice is like something… good), Chuck’s stupid storyline.
The Missing: Do you even have to ask?? ERIC!! I mean here’s how it goes… Eric doesn’t have a storyline to say he’s off somewhere with Jonathan or someone however he’s not at home when Jenny decides that’s where the date will be… where was he? Why wasn’t he telling Jenny the dirty little squatter (I hope everyone knows what that is) to get out of his house when none of the actual occupants are there!!!
On that note…
… You know you love me.
XOXO,
K.

ahahaha cool <3
I have to agree with you the story was a little boring. I don’t know if Gabriel is a bad thing tho. I mean come on he is HOT. I think he is probably hotter than nate may be not as hot as chuck but he is absolutely charming. I did like chuck’s story line however. It kind of shows the sweet side of him regardless of his evil and irresponsible actions. overall I love Gossip Girl. I feel like I want to live inside that show lmao.
XoXo <3
ew. Gabrie.l is. not. hot.
