Did this episode live up to my Gossip Girl standards? Well, yes and no.

Blair was in her element on stage and playing the role – perhaps not the one she was meant to play but a role anyway – in that very beautiful dress (but was it really appropriate for the setting? Who cares right). READ MORE!
Serena somehow seemed more beautiful with Vanessa by her side (not that Jessica Szohr is ugly, in fact I think she is the most beautiful cast member) like Blake Lively some how stole some of Jessica’s beauty – yes, I admit it I really don’t find Blake to be the sexy/beautiful/gorgeous/whatever vixen that the GG books said Serena should be. Although her new-ish boobs are doing wonders for her.

Then there were those other storylines pushing themselves into the spotlight (yes that’s you Rachel and Elle!) when all they had to offer were dull boredom. I expect more of the wonderful Chuck… SO much more! However, the plus side of all of this is the wrapping up of those stories so we never (hopefully) have to see those characters again.

And *sigh* we’re using Carter again? Boo! I love the games Blair and Chuck play but not when someone else is involved. There is also the fact that had Blair known Chuck was waiting ever so impatiently at her door she would never look twice at Carter. Right? I like to believe so.

Overall, I thought it was a filler episode, pushing us into next week and hopefully a Blair that doesn’t (please please please) want Carter!

The good: Blair is back to her normal on edge self. Back in character (as with everyone else) after the last episode. I shudder to think about that episode.

The bad: Carter.

The missed: Lily and Eric again! Do they have this secret club that we don’t get to see? (which I bet is better than the secret club Bart was in) We need you Lily and Eric! Please?

Until next time.

XOXO
