Gossip Girl, I think I love you.

Even just watching the opening 5 minutes of this episode made me more satisfied than most of episode 2. I’m glad the show redeemed itself  :)

And I liked Jenny for a while (it’s strange, last season I really did like Jenny but this season she’s just so blah to me), especially when she got all irritable at Vanessa for not calling Nate. She should have told Vanessa she was in fact the whiny girl though because, come on Vanessa, you totally are! That’s ok though, it’s understandable… Nate looked especially wonderful this episode.

One thing, Vanessa related, that I thought was strange was how she was sitting at the Humphrey kitchen table when Rufus walked in and he was all ‘hey’ as if it was the most normal thing ever to have a child that is not yours sitting in your kitchen when your other actual children appear to be not at home.
I don’t mind that though, Vanessa and Rufus got their sizzle on and I totally thought Rufus was going to say this “Or, you could to the immature thing, I could be your date!!” unfortunately those words were not uttered although I nearly believed they were!

I love how Marcus kept rejecting Blair… I think he’s setting her up for a huge fall, even though he kissed her at the end of the episode… it lacked, well, everything. After her get together with Chuck the kiss with Marcus was so, boring.

Even Blair can see it! Her excuse that he used an accent… HA! Just get rid of the stupid Lord Blair. Please, for me, go have steamy limo sex with Chuck… please?

Speaking of calling it off, I’m glad that Serena and Dan did just that. Well, Dan did anyway, way to step up Dan! A tip to everyone out there, if a man who believes you are the love of his life is trying to escape through an elevator manhole in the middle of a black out just to get away from you, it’s definitely over.

It’s good that they didn’t stay together with unresolved issues and pretend all the lying and annoyance of last season didn’t exist. It was awesome to see Blair get in Serena’s face about it too… Go Blair!! (you’re still not redeemed though… break up with Marcus!!)

Anyway, this is getting long! I was just so excited :)

Soo,

The good: Chuck having his way with Blair!! Dan stepping up and breaking up with Serena. The steamy scene with Rufus and Vanessa

The bad: Jenny’s boring side story. Why didn’t Eleanor just fire her?? Why?? No Lily :( Or Eric for that matter… I want Lily back!

Overall: I was giddy! The opening scene was awesome! Kristen Bell, you are the best Gossip Girl I could ever imagine! – *sigh* Have my babies? – So much happened and it was exciting. Great episode! No Meh (except Jenny) this week at all :)

Have fun til next review.

XOXO,
K.
