Chace Crawford: “Gossip Girl NOT bad influence.”

Goodmorning, Upper East Siders! Our favorite blond hunk has been defending Gossip Girl to the media who mistakingly accuse the show of being a bad influence for the youth of America.

We agree with Chace: the show has value. It may not be the most important show on television…but it’s the most fun, the most stylish…and why can’t that be enough!?

Crawford plays rich trouble-maker Nate Archibald on the show and his character’s drug use has caused some to feel the show may not be sending the right message. But Chace Crawford says that Gossip Girl not bad influence.”

Crawford says that the youth of America aren’t stupid and can make up their own minds.

“They’re not stupid,” Crawford says of the show’s audience. “It’s not like we’re making an instruction manual telling them how to drink and do drugs, or have sex. We’re just laying out how it is.”
