Hey people!
I have so much to say I don’t even know where to begin. Let’s start with the latest frenemy fight. Now, I got a few comments earlier on that I am biased towards Serena. But whoever doesn’t admit that in this fight, B is completely at fault, is being ridiculously biased.
The writers need to thonk themselves on the head and revive their brain cells. What the heck is happening? The characters are supposed to get more mature now that they’re in college but all they’re showing Blair as doing is whining and acting desperate because she can’t be the most popular girl in college. Why can’t she leave high school behind, already? And why has Chuck suddenly become a grandpa businessman? We meant a 40% increase in maturity not that the most immature character should become the most. He’s losing his easy humor. And the Carter/Georgina exits were blindingly lame.
Anyway, back to the B/S thing. Granted, B was helping C out but that does NOT give her the right to screw her best friend over. I have been scanning a couple of GG websites (gginsider, etc) and I’m NOT the only one who’s thinking this way. A lot of B fans are crossing over to Team S. Why? Well, for starters, B has started being evil and bitchy for no reason. In season 1 and even 2 , she used to be a bitch for a reason but now, it’s getting to be ridiculous. It seems like all she cares about is herself. She’s doing this whole thing for Chuck and messing S’s career up when she knows how much it means to her to prove herself to her mom BUT she also screwed Chuck over last episode! And THEN she was selfishly conniving enough to think that HE should get her a gift.
And B fans, please don’t give me that bull about “B has so many problems and S has everything handed to her on a platter”. What are B’s problems, exactly? Her mom doesn’t pay much attention and she’s not the most popular girl in school? Awww, poor rich girl! Really, she needs to grow up. And everyone’s all “Oh B’s such a good friend yada yada yada’” Really? She’s always making S feel like she’s the stupid, unintelligent one. So what happened? Her best friend who’s always trying to bring her to reality. S scored a job while B ended up going to a school she hated where everyone hated her. Where did her “supposed” intelligence get her? And when S slept with Nate, which I absolutely agree was wrong, she let B talk crap about her in front of all of the Ivy League college alumni and say whatever she wanted and she repented. BLAIR’S the one who made her feel like shit and that’s why she decided to go to Yale. Then she gave up Yale for her friend. It’s not her fault that B had to mess that up for herself as well.
As for S shoving B in the cake, well, she;s never been an agressive person. Case in point: season 1, she shoves B in a hockey game bc B constantly fouls her. Season 2: she does the Yale thing bc of the Pete issue. Season 3: because Blair didn’t give two shits about S’s job just bc she didn’t have one herself and can’t understand a work ethic and having to work for something AND because she’s trying to make amends with her boyfriend who she screwed over last episode.
And also don’t give me the “Blair’s a bitch, that’s her personality” thing. That’s not even a relevant excuse. B is great being a bitch when it’s for a reason, and I love her for that but right now, she’s just being self centred and stupid.
Just because it’s a drama, because it’s reel not real, it’s still sick to justify something like this.
Also, Chuck and Blair are getting really dull. After rooting for Chair for so long, I’m sure we were all expecting something more exciting.
All I can hope for is Nate being on S’s side and C and B getting some action a la Jack Bass.
GG is also turning out to be the new OC. Season 1 was incredible,. season 2 was good too and season 3 is total crap. And it’s sad bc it was the most anticipated one.
What do you think? Also, if you want to comment, please follow up your side with justifications. I don’t want comments like “TEAM B COZ I LUV HER AND ALWYS HAV!” or “TEAM S BCOS SHES HOT”. That’s ridiculous.
Got that? Great. See you below.

Awesome blog! You totally just got exactly what i was thinking down into words. GG is definitely getting so boring now. Even One Tree Hill seems more exciting and it’s in its what? Eight season? GG writers can do so much better than this. Otherwise, it will just be all Vampire Diaries talk from now on. Just my thoughts. Blog writer, keep up the opinionated side of you, love the attitude! Truth hurts GG fans, get over it.
K I toally agree with everything she just siad but… What I’d B is pregnant? I mean it would explain y she is acting so bitchy and hormonal plus it would add lots of drama 2 the show! Just a thought
I think that is a GREAT idea u got there!!!
thanks if Blair isn’t preggers I think that some1 should get preggers
ooh good idea. Now if Blair could be pregnant but it’s not Chuck’s? that would be even more interesting don’t ya think? what if Jack Bass got her pregnant? say from that time..was it new year? i don’t know, but something happen between them that we don’t know about.
you know what? i totally agree with you!
i was discussing it with friends just earlier and we think that B has totally dummed down
and yes, Carter and Georgina walking out, that was just pathetic…
i actually think this season is more boring,
btww, you are a genius! thankyou for making this site!
its the bestest!
Woah were you on crack when you wrote this? only joking but I’m guessing you have more pent up rage then georginax10. But I must agree with you so far this season has been a little on the lame side. Blair has been annoying me almost as much as serena as of late, because this really is her fault. I agree with pretty much all you say except serena is kind of dull fullstop.
blair is the major dull one but serena shuld get better storylines!
even if they give serena better storylines she still gives off an aura of dull
im just hoping that something intersting hap pens between c and b… but maybe we just hav ridiculously high expectations nd we dnt realli want them to be together and happy? i agree that chuck is becoming waaay to sensible nd blair is bein 2 much of a bitch for no real reason. i do feel very sory 4 serena but when it cums down 2 it- as a character- shes boring. all dat happens 2 her is she gets a new boyfriend. just like nate. they r DULL.
PLEASE GG writers make something SUPER exciting happen to Chair!!! its y i watch tha show after al!
I have a few things to say about season three:
1. First bad fashion and now being bitchy for… what? What the hell is Blair doing?
2. I love Chuck and Blair, but they take the word ‘boring’ to a whole new level.
3. Did Georgina and Carter elope or something? I really like how Josh turned Georgie into an über-bitch instead of just one of Nate’s many flings [the books], but seriously, where are they?
4. Okay, what the fuck is up with these random Jenny and Nate shippers asking, ‘Are Jenny and Nate going to be together in season three? I really want them to be together!’? They only had a fling in the books and they weren’t even cute in the television series. Seriously.
5. The only thing keeping me tuned in are the Serena and Nate spoilers that keep popping up on YouTube and Fanpop.
Hmm, I agree with you about josh(director) killing all of his shows by the third season.
I hope a new and big storyline is coming up that will last for more than 3 episodes.
I love Chuck and Blair and I want more of the old chemistry back even though they are still really cute.
Also, anyone think that Jenny and Nate are soooo Dull now, Nate has no really interesting storylines anymore.
The directors should get advice from One Tree Hill. That show is amazingly directed and has survived through 7 seasons and is still going strong.
I want the old GG feel back. I loved season 1 & 2!
Until the last episode I could still understand Blair’s motivations in her deeds and how she was trying, not her best i agree, to make things change…I was really hoping for “How to succeed in Bassness” to make a big step ahead…
But after this episode I must say I’m confused and not just about Blair… I really have the feeling that the writers have no clue about where the season is going (that or they have a huge season finale thing they don’t want us to suspect…): every week it feels like the season is starting from scratch again: after each episode you get a new perspective -most of the time for me a disappointing one- and the teasers for the next monday episode (except this preview of the Grandfather) always made me long for a huge event which in fact never truly happens (I hope you see what I mean)…So I go from one disappointment to another. And it feels like the writers don’t care that much…I mean I know it’s all about getting mature but they don’t have to make it that uninteresting, a lot of drama could happen (if they’re lacking ideas, I had some in my past articles…!) But no, the male characters are fading away and the female ones …well you said it quite right…
I have always loved Blair and it’s true that I have not always liked Serena (especially season 1) but when I saw Blair going against Chuck and Serena in her stubborness and excusing her behavior with the “I do it so as to prove my love for Chuck” thing (excuse she didn”t give in the season before, which allowed me to “understand her” and hope for the best) I have to admit her childishness really pissed me off. I wish we could see her back in her penthouse, spending some time with her mother, being in a situation where she could really learn something for good: when will we see her bounce back and not just cowardly take refuge in her teenage attitude?
I have always been curious about the “unnatural” friendship Blair and Serena have: sometimes I thought that they were friends because there was no competition between her, they shared their differences -and somehow respected each other’s- and when one stepped into the other”s battlefield, war was neccessary happening -Yale indeed is the perfect example. I read in some papers about this that Serena always seemed to have to better part in it; I think it was more that Serena’s personality was more likely not to make a big deal and to let go, whereas Blair in her perfect planned life is more likely to defend herself and to protect what she has -or what she plans to have. But to me it defintively doesn”t mean one is better than the other. Both have great personal issues but they deal with them and bear them differently.
Until now Blair personality fitted more with the pattern of the series -gossip, scheming, making scandals and such; there was no true way to embody Serena introvert personality (Serena runs aways from the Big Apple when confronted to issues and in that case the series frame cannot include her whereas Blair has succeeded in making NY her drama stage). Serena was supposed to go to Brown -that would have meant another out-of-the-city- personal crisis opportunity we would have barely heard of. Now that she has a job in NY she found a true and legitimate way to make herself be heard, to channel her issues and to involve herself. And the thing is that this way is rationnal, it implies strategy -which Serena didn”t have in her emotionnal relationships with others. And arguing rationnaly (or trying to) into the world was Blair’s thing. Now the only difference remaining is that Serena has the chance to do it for professionnal reasons whereas Blair has always done it for personal reasons.
Maybe the professional figure near Blair -Chuck and his hotel business- will make her want to go to the next level and leave this touchiness at the door.
Sorry for my long comment -but I too had a lot to say…
You’re being way too harsh.
This is just a fiction show, right? It’s supposed to amuse us. And I guess it still amuses lots of people (including me) or they would no longer watch it.
By the way, why are you a writer for this site if you hate the show?
Completley agree with you. I mean yeah, This series isn’t as amazing as the last series or the first but its still good! And I mean, if you hate it, whats the point in doing these blogs? And if we like Blair, SO WHAT?! I still think Serenas a bitch, yeah Blairs being all whiney right now and stuff, but that OUR opinion! Not yours! Reply to me saying a load of shit but to be honest, I dont really care. And this sites getting all messed up, the new episodes don’t even come up anymore! I use different sites now to watch it, I only come on here for new updates and like sneak peaks and stuff. Please get it sorted out? Thanks.
I agree… we just want to be entertained, and everything being all fair and nicey-nice and happy is boring. If GG were like that no one would watch it.
So yeah, you are being a bit harsh and judgemental.. I understand your points, but really? Most of us don’t take it that seriously.
wow i totally agree! why can’t we have our own opinions? wtf? i think all
the stuff serena does is totally bitchy! and i fine herr reaally boring…
and btw blair has always been a bitch and it gives the show drama.
She’s not just doing it cuz she isn’t poppular! prob built up anger from
all the bitchy things serena has done (abandoning her an sleeping with
her boyfriend ringing any bells???) not evryone has to be on team S.
stop hating on B.
I totally agree I just want 2 c a really good show and so far this season it has been ok I mean it’s not the best but it certainly isn’t really bad! I like this season I just wish someone would get PREGNANT that would spice up the show and the drama so much!
You know Sharon, I’ve been reading your comments on other articles and I have to say…you CLEARLY take any blair bashing seriously, cmon serena bashing occurs all the time, serena fans take it, so it’s only right that blair gets it too it;s not such a big deal. I get your opinion on whos better but you dont need to insult the writers when you always do the same thing
hmm everyone has an opinion, to be honest serena is a little dull
Omg I totally agree! Guys, get over it! It’s made up, it’s not real!
Do you honestly think that if everyone was all sweet and caring and non-bitchy with each other that the show would be good? Obviously it would become totally boring. If you want a good show, you need good drama and obviously people don’t see that. I agree that if Blair was a real person I would hate her but she isn’t real and that’s just her character. Please, these little online arguements are useless!!
I don’t know to whom this last comment is adressed since both Arushi and I are writers for this show. But I guess it’s meant for Arushi, or am I wrong?
I am team Blair, and for one reason and one reason only.
You can say that she’s not a good friend to Serena blah blah blah and boy was she wrong in the episode, but the fact was that Serena went over the top.
Serena slept with Nate and Blair forgave her. I mean sure it was big thing for like the first 2 episodes but then Blair did the right thing. Serena goes and pushes Blair’s head into a cake for choosing to support her boyfriend instead of help Serena go further into her dead end job? Serena has a right to be little mad and shout at her but I think she’s just gone too far.
Blair is a bitch ok, we all know she’s a bitch. The last two episodes actually made me stop feeling like she’s the ‘bitch with a good heart’ on the show and made me start thinking that she’s ‘just a bitch’ full stop. But at the same time shit has happened to her.
It’s not about her not being the most popular girl, it’s about her not having friends at all. It might not seem harsh because she has S and C but you need to have friends at school, and two minions which btw she couldn’t care less about are just stupid. Then there’s the fact that her boyfriend doesn’t trust her and then her bestfriend sides with him. Her mother couldn’t care less what she’s doing and suddenly she only has one person left in her life which she gives a shit about so she sides with Chuck instead of Serena.
It might not be right, but it’s justified.
And yes the writers are on crack. And yes this season so far sucks. I don’t know.
Chair were so .. special, before they got together. And near the middle-end of last season I was screaming at the TV screen going KISS AND DATE KISS AND DATE. But now that they have said ILY and kissed and have started dating they lost what made them speical in my books.
I still watch the show partly for them, but I’m hoping Blair looses that extra bitchiness that came back in the past episodes, and becomes more like end of season 2 Blair, wasn’t she great then?!
And some Nerena action would be great.
- Sigh -
I really hope the writers don’t mess up Blair’s character for me because I’ve always thought that she was the one I could relate to. And even though I’m sticking up for her now anymore of this too much bitchiness might force me to jump off band wagon Blair and join Team S
:S
I agree about Blair going not just all bitchy…Last season we go to see so many aspects of her personality, that was really great! My favorite “good Blair” moments were when Chuck was completely adrift and she was trying so hard to get things going…back then you could really tell she was close to righteousness.
And I really think that Nate and Serena will have something going on soon…I’d be curious to see that since at first they seem to both be gentle and sweet people..But Serena is getting tougher and tougher so…
Thanks to Pat Lester, Sophia1, Mia and everyone else who tried to see reason.
Okay. Now to work.
@The Oracle- I don’t “hate the show”. I’ve been writing on this website since the show started and hence, if I’m of the opinion (among a gazillion others, scan the net) that I’m disappointed with this season, well, then, that doesn’t mean I’m “demeening it”.
@ex-oh-ex-oh- I’m sorry, honey but you’re not really making sense there. “We still think Serena’s a bitch and yeah, Blair’s being all whiney and stuff right now, but that’s OUR opinion, not YOURS!”. Um. What? It’s your opinion that she’s being whiny? Please refer to the last paragraph of the post. I’d like you to back up your accusations/comments/thoughts with reasons and not give me lame, blatant hate comments. Thank you.
@Flo- And I agree with you. I don’t know why people think I don’t like Blair. When in fact, I think beneath all the glitz and everything else, B is easy to relate to for most girls. Her and Jenny of season 1. I still don’t agree that all these things warrant her to pull a stunt like that BUT I can understand to an extent why people will still take her side, because they’ve been doing it for so long. And I really loved her in season 1 and 2. She was mean, yes, but she was “funny mean”. She was entertaining. And they always showed glimpses where we were shown that she’s a good, albeit struggling weak person underneath it. Now, it just looks like she’s being catty, petty and fickle.
Also, in response to why Chuck doesn’t trust her, I’m sorry, but that was her own fault. She screwed Chuck over and then screwed Serena over to make things okay with Chuck. And you know what? Her and S may be dysfunctional but what if she falls out with Chuck because of whatever reason? She has no other friends! And minions don’t count as friends, clearly.
Also, to someone who said “Serena’s dead end job” above: okay, what? She’s trying to prove to herself, her mom and everyone else that she’s capable of doing more and achieving more than the front page of the Styles section or invites to all the important parties! It’s not about whether the job excites her or not! It’s about the fact that it’s important to her and that should mean something for Blair!
Also, to the two people who talked about One Tree Hill- I completely agree. It’s excellent and still has the ability to make you cry and laugh while watching it despite the fact that it’s in it’s 7th season and has lost 2 of it’s main characters. THAT’S good writing.

wow people take this too serious i mean it’s not a fight between team S and team B okay?! everyone has their own opinion but some people can actually back up their comments like Arushi and i totally agree with you B was a different bitch in season 1 and 2 she WAS entertaining but now she’s just being a bitch for no reason. The writers should get some pointers from OTH on how to keep a show going. Everyone can speak up and have opinions but you don’t have to trash down B if you’re team S and vice versa
after all it is a show not real life !
Arushi, I’m sorry if I misunderstood you but I think it did sound like you were demeening it. But if you weren’t… then I just stick to the opinion that you were too harsh. Nothing wrong with that right?
erm, honey, a lot of people seem to be agreeing with me so…i dont know how you dont understand. Why not just do better blogs or not do them at all. Geezz! x
Rooting for serena and nate, gossip girl is getting more dull it should be more energetic , more scandals, more fights, and definetly new character that arent lame as Bree Buckley they should get some concept from the books.
I just found a whole lot of interesting comments on gginsider in a forum of the same ilk as this one.

You quite literally described Blair in your series of comments, not Serena. While she may not be the brightest bulb in the box, she certainly isn’t the backstabbing, manipulative harlot you’re trying to make her out to be. I don’t understand why a lot of Blair fans feel the need to talk down about Serena to show their favor for the brunette. It’s incredibly childish.
I’ve noticed a pattern with most Blair fans (and usually by extension, Chuck/Blair fans), including yourself; they become biased and hypocrticial when it comes to her. Had Serena pulled a fraction of the things Blair did in this show, you would all be on her case; but because it’s Blair, it’s forgivable. Yes, this is can be an entertaining show and yes, Blair [was once] brilliantly evil. But you shouldn’t lose objective just because you like her character. In unbiased reality, Blair IS immmature, childish, and self-involved. She shows no lack of remorse for most of her actions [unless a sign of remorse would somehow be in her benefit] and shows clear signs of having narcissistic personality disorder. While Serena is CLEARLY no saint, she isn’t as horrible as Blair can be.
Word! just read the comments of all “team b” nothing objective, they are so blind! it’s sad

just by reading these comments you can see how immature the watchers are! i just dont get how far would blair have to go for people to realise who she is? if serena pulled half the crap blair did she would be bashed to hell! face it in real life you would stay far away from girls like blair and probs make friends with girls like serena in season 1 blair was fierce now shes pathetic!

I totally agree with you.
I msyelf am a Serena fan. B may have had some pretty epic schemes in the past I will admit, but in Season 3, I have really become attached to Serena’s character. It’s a very close call ladies.
…And the Serena bashing is awful. I understand that Blair is obviously more popular on this “chair” fanbase, but Serena’s character doesn’t deserve the negativity that it’s getting!

I have to agree gossip de la girl. People are only bashing Serena because they’re obsessed with Chair. Lets not forget that Blair was a major bitch from the first episode and probably to the last. Everyone’s saying that Serena wasn’t a good friend because she slept with Nate…Helloooo Blair slept with Chuck…i.e. Nate’s best friend??? She’s always blackmail people for no goddamn reason…she’s immature…cattty…spoiled need I go on?Serena while she has her faults doesn’t intentionally go out of her way to hurt people. Blair is a great character but she seriously needs to grow up. I don’t see why Serena would want to be her friend anyway.
# Leah Says:

I love them both, personally, but I will definitely be on Team Serena. I feel like Serena made one mistake – sleeping with Nate – and now she has to pay for it over and over and over again, even though Blair has repeatedly “forgiven her.” (I’m not saying that sleeping with your best friend’s boyfriend isn’t a huge deal, because of course it is.)Serena definitely has her flaws and has screwed Blair over quite a few times, but Blair always takes things too far. I don’t understand why people see Blair being a bitch as awesome, but if S does even the smallest thing, the B fans go absolutely crazy. Does anyone even really think about all the horrible things that B has done to S? For example: calling her a drug addict in front of the Ivy League reps (which could have ruined her entire future), bringing upSerena’s dead friend when she knew how traumatizing it was to Serena, and basically just stepping all over S to get what she wants. Blair is an amazing character, but let’s be honest, she’s no saint.
# Leah Says:
October 29th, 2009 11:59 PM
Also, I wish you people would realize that just because you’re partial to Blair’s character doesn’t mean that you can’t like Serena’s character, as well. Serena really isn’t an airhead, and she’s also not a slut (how many guys do you know she’s slept with?). She’s also supportive of Blair even when she doesn’t deserve it, and I don’t think that even Chuck cares about B as much as Serena does. Serena doesn’t deserve all the hatred that this fandom has for her.
————————–
Ha, so I guess I went a little overboard but there were 300 there and I had to put up at least 4 to show you guys that I’m part of a very large group of people thinking this way. So don’t say I’m the biased one.

I’ve always been a Blair fan myself, but I have to agree with you all.
I m from team B, but i do agree wid u all..but now all i m doing is praying to GOD that everything gets back like wat it was in season 2…also chair getting back to some action, its rite that they are getting boring, but i still love watching them!
Hey…
I know what you’re saying and I get your point, but OK, Serena chose Chuck, then so did Blair. Then S was mad coz she thought she’d be fired. But KC said she was excellent so Serena shud b thanking B. But B and C are gettin sooooooo boring now…I’ll still watch the show but…..The only thing good about the season so far is Rufus. I disliked him in series 1 +2 but i like him now, he’s so funny. Plus the whole Jenny V Eric thing? Kinda boring now. But thats like, the most exciting thing to happen in ages, and its crappy. Oh, well. I guess i still love it and nothing will stop me falling for Chuck Bass again this series!!!! Hey a thought: Maybe they shud get a new director!!:) Can’t wait 4 Jack and Bart 2 cum bac!!!!! ~:P
I get that Blair ultimately bettered the condition for Serena, but the step she took was against Serena. Serena if she wanted to, could have told Chuck straight on the phone that Blair was there, did she? No But Blair, when chuck accused Serena, didn’t even speak up, until Serena asked her. And then knowing, it could have sabotaged Serena’s career she called the police. I get your point that even thought Blair’s actions were wrong, she ultimately helped Serena. BUT if that can be justified then so can Serena sleeping with Nate cuz ultimately Blair was happier without Nate, who didn’t even love her.
this is an awesome blog!!!
u should write these kind of thing more often!!
=)
OH MY GOSH people you guys are being way too harsh..
ok.. gossip girl is getting a little Dull… but it’s ok we all know that
it will get better someday (really hoping for it)..
and oh my gosh again.. why all that hate twards Blair..
all of us can be a little childish sometims right???
you dont need to be that way!!!
And yes.. of course.. B and C are a little Boring lately
but i think that the writter.. are just trying to show
us what they would be like in a Real relationship..
that’s all.. later it will get more intresting..
And i guest that it will be when Bart comes back…!!!
i agree :] bart briiings the drama! ;P
wow people take this too serious i mean it’s not a fight between team S and team B okay?! everyone has their own opinion but some people can actually back up their comments like Arushi and i totally agree with you B was a different bitch in season 1 and 2 she WAS entertaining but now she’s just being a bitch for no reason. The writers should get some pointers from OTH on how to keep a show going. Everyone can speak up and have opinions but you don’t have to trash down B if you’re team S and vice versa
after all it is a show not real life !
Why r u all taking sides? I mean we get it, u think B sucks and S is a-amazing.
But really? I mean come on. B makes the whole show exciting bc of her bitchy character.
I think Serena and Blair r both behaving like children.
And i think chair is still amusing. I mean Dan and serena were also together a few times and everyone was like Yaayaayaay and now that chair is finally together everyone says theyre dull ? wtf? I think it’s dull when theyre playing that stupid game thing through the whole season.
But I agree, Josh should bring some amazing stuff into the show.
I still love gg tho and always will.
I DEFINITELY agree with you! First of all, i didn’t think the season was going to be so hot since the first episode. The best season was definitely the first one and the second one was pretty good too, but sort of trailing off towards the end… second of all Serena changed a lot this season. She’s not that careless cute girl anymore, even her fashion is different. And as much as they all need to grow up, everyone took a turn for the worst. I do still like Vanessa though, I think she’ll stay true to the end. I know characters have to change but c’mon, S? and now B? She always did act like a bitch for a REASON as stated but she just screwed S over on this one. And chuck, well he’s a disappointment. So the next episode there better be some good crap in there, like S kicking B’s ass because this is just ridiculous. And maybe start getting GG to being season-one-everyone -oved quality. And Nate also has to step up. As for carter and georgina, well georgina isnt even the bitch she was. and carter well he needs to come back.
i dont agree, B did that because she is a childish girl, she doesnt realise that S isnt siding with Chuck she is just oding her work. B isnt screwing up Serena she is just triying to get even by “taking Chuck s side and not hers”. They are characer and they cannot change that fast! B is going to stay a child and S is going to stay a judgemental person but they are going to evolve! yet i agree about the Chuck issue, he became waaaay to mature and their couple isnt that interesting, i d rather see them split up and get back to each other at the end of the serie
whatever our points are we all love GG, whatever team we r on we are in the huge team of GG fans arent we?? (but writers should find new inspirations if they want us to keep watching)
u know what? every after an episode of GG season 3 ends, two abused words come out of my mouth–> “that’s it?!”.. during the first few episodes, i gave the show a chance.. but the show is going downside with immature characters getting more immature.. i mean it has been 7 episodes and not one of them made me feel like i did when i was watching seasons 1 & 2.. i definitely believe that if the screenwriters wont do something about it, then GG will end up to be a total waste.. and its sad since its been one of my favorite shows of all time..
also, ive noticed that the show’s giving too much spoilers this season, that they’re almost giving away the entire episode or what’s left are the boring parts (this is one reason why i stopped watching GG spoilers this season)..
I don’t know what’s up with everyone here, I get it that this season so far is not like the others were, but on the up side it’s way funnier. I laugh a lot more than I had during the first two seasons. And the whole atmosphere is still amazing, they still have more and more aspects of the life of the rich people (like the auction, the premiere, the club opening…), and they still have a lot of things to explore. I actually like it that they don’t make it overdramatic. And all the people can really act in the show, that is amazing. They are so talented. I hope CW won’t listen (too much:)) to the criticism and they won’t cancel the show like they did that other one about models (I wasn’t interested in it, just heard). So I still love to watch it…
Nicole is right about the spoilers tought. But I don’t think they give away everything. And like she said you can avoid them.
And about the mature-immature thing… I don’t know how old most of you are, but you seriosly think that just going to college change the people, make them grow up overnight…?? Of course not. Everyone is still immature in the beginning. High school is a milestone, but come one, it’s not a rebirth! I’m a freshman myself, and the people are the same (not in a bad meaning). So Blair is still 18. And I still love her, she is just great, even when she whiney or bitchy. And for Serena the same. I always loved Blair more but at the end of season two I had to admit how great she is, being interesting without a Chuck, on her own.:D
And the site is awsome, even when I almost never agree with Arushi, I think she (and all the other writers) are doing a fantastic job.
thank you, it’s very kind of you!
can i just say one thing? this season of gossip girl sux so much, that everyone is blowing this fight wayyyyy out of proportion b/c it’s the only exciting thing that’s happened. i mean, honestly, what really happened? the paparazzi took pictures of the celebrities at Chuck’s party. KC told Serena she did a good job BECAUSE SHE GOT THEM PHOTOGRAPHED AT THE “HOTTEST PARTY” OF THE YEAR. serena got to keep her job. blair apologized and offered Serena a job with her. Serena freaked out and siad she didnt want to be friends with blair. this is a stupid fight. neither party is really at fault. i’m so sorry, but this season of GG is the worst so far.
I’m from team B. I would just like to say, that Blair is maybe not a good friend, but she makes the show good, with out someone like B the show wouldn’t be as fun. I think Serana is dull, and it bores me to see her.
By the way I don’t think the third season is dull, I actually think that this season is even better than the first and second.
I don’t agree with you at all. is true that chair relationship is a little bit boring and that blair is beeing a bitch for no reason but I love chair and love blair and I think that beeing a bitch is o she is. I also think that season 3 as still alot to tell and of course chair will have their ups and downs and their piece of execitement. About S i just think that she is always trying to say and sow that she is the victim and blair the bitch but the true is that S is not s saint, she did a lot of crap and still does, and slepping with blair’s boyfriend, leaving withou telling her nothing wile blairs parents were breakingh up and applie to yale knowing that going there was blair’s dream were just some of the horrybel things S did to B, so I’m definitly team B. And don’t compare OC to GG they have nothing in comon, one is on Orange County the other in New York and Serena and Blair have nothing to do with melissa and Sam. And finally like I already said season tree has still a lot to show and I think you shouldn be talking crap about the serie because this is a lot of people work and a lot of people like it just like me, if you don like just don’t see it.
Honestly, I respect the fact that you have an opinion, but I’d like to point out a few things. Serena rarely acts like being the saint while blaming everything on Blair, cmon do you watch the show? Also everything you named, I agree Serena did a horrible thing for sleeping with Nate and leaving while Blair was having family problems, but she left for a reason, which may not be the strongest but we all have reasons, BUT your last point on college is completely bull****. Applying to Yale? Serena wasn’t a guaranteed to get in, Blair still applied, it’s her own fault she didn’t get through the interview as well as Serena. Yes, Serena showing up could have faulted her reasoning at the point of time, BUT serena was personally INVITED by the dean to Yale, she had EVERY RIGHT to be there. Also, Blair tried to ruin Serena’s chances into getting into ANY university, rememeber the big speech? And serena has sacrificed her chances and dreams for Blair’s – rememeber Eleanor’s photoshoot. I like both of them, but at the same time some of the biases that Blair’s fan have are ridiculous!!
but serena never really wanted to go to yale
she wanted brown
so her just being there was enough to show that she was doing the wrong thing
capiche?
Hello? DO you read what you write? Chuck went to yale, was he even interseted in college? NO But no he had every right. It’s a common fact that Serena managed to impress the dean. Blair was flustered so she messed up. But serena had every right and did NOTHING wrong by being there. As Arushi said, if your best friend told you you weren’t good enuff for it wouldn;t you wanna prove her wrong. And thats wat serena didl. She proved Blari wrong, Besides visiting a college, is a common thing, esp. when you have a personal invitation, Honestly better logic please?
okay i think you realllly shouldnt have ripped blair enough. i get told soooo often that i am like blair. sure, they arent growing up… but i think that what serena did (chosing chuck just because of some stupid club publisist thing) is totally unfair and she deserved to be screwed over.
i allso really hate the way that blake’s voice sounds when she whines – its soo annoying.
seriously peoplle, go back through the archives and see that blair is a bitch and thats why we love her, and serena is a babe and thats why everyone loves her.
my friend anna and i are like the two of them… exactly like them. and anyone who says that they are biased towards one isn’t really thinking through the fact that serena started it all by sleeping with nate.
simple as that… wouldnt you be annoyed??
exohexoh
UUUKH !! I agree about her annoying voice ,, besides that she makes me feel sleepy
Okay. Most of the comments here were ineligible and thank god for that! Thanks so much for the feedback, you guys!
Now. Here’s what I have to say to some.
@Oracle- Yep, of course, there’s nothing wrong with that! To each her/his own!
@mareeno- Thank you so much!
@blairchuck- Woo for Bart!
@O- Well said.
@Ines- What? What do you mean by “she doesn’t realize she’s screwing S over”? That doesn’t even make sense and you’re contradicting yourself.
@Kathy- I respect your opinion. I do. But, I’m old enough to realize that college doesn’t change you overnight. HOWEVER, I do think that you have to have a sense of “growing up” when you go to college. I don’t know what Blair was thinking. The whole world does not give two shits about whether her mom is descended from a line of British aristocrats or if her dad has a chateau in Paris or whether her closet if overflowing with Dior and Valli (as fashion obsessed as I am, that’s a little weird. To boast about your mother’s money buying you clothes. I mean, what?). In seasons 1 and 2, it was fun. It was great. It was a small private school where she ruled. But when coming to college, she has to realize that the world is not waiting for her to boss them over! It was hilarious with those minions bc they were weird, fake, weak girls with no backbone or anything but to treat talented people who got into NYU like they’re below her because she has a schmazzier house, is just lame. And sad. Just sad.
But anyhow, thank you so much!
@Gossip Girl Fan EW- The “Blair’s fun” thing is getting dull. There has to be some lean to reality in even the most outrageous shows. And you know you’d detest the New Blair if you met her.
@Sarah- Read Jess’ comment. She sums it all up perfectly.
@Jess- Totally, totally agree.
@shainee+ – What if YOUR best friend came up to you and taunted you about being stupid? What would YOU do? Just because she’s insanely jealous of you, she talks crap to you! Wouldn’t you want to prove her wrong and show her up? Well, that’s what S did. Capiche?
@Shaine+ – What is WRONG with you? “Stupid publicist thing”? You’re insulting your gender and being anti feminist by saying that a boyfriend is higher priority that a career for girl/woman. It wasn’t some “stupid publicist thing”, okay?
And please, don’t say “couldn’t have ripped B more”. What about all the B biased fans who ripped S over and over for no legitimate reason? So S slept with Nate. That does NOT give B the right to hold that against her forever. B already nearly ruined S’s chances to get into any college by telling all the deans of admissions that she was a drug addict! AND BY THE WAY: TO EVERYONE: EVERYONE KEEPS BLAMING S FOR SLEEPING WITH NATE BUT DIDN’T B SLEEP WITH CHUCK WHO WAS NATE’S BFF?
@Anna- Um.
Okay, I’m done ranting.
Anyway, thank you everyone for your thoughts!

Nobody seems to remember that minor detail, huh?
Well, I’m still team B!
S stayed with C in the bar and let B down! So B paied her back! Besides, thanks to her S’s chief is proud of her! so what has she done? s is kinda overreacting, as always!
Hello? Have you forgotten that Blair let Chuck assume that Serena called Jack? Or that Blair did what she did despite both Serena and Chuck repeatedly telling her not to? And there is no thanks to! Blair put Serena’s job on the line, which could have yielded bad results. Serena is completely not over reacting, the only one who over reacted was Blair when she didn’t understand that for once Chuck didn’t want her involved because she MESSED up! But no she HAS to take it too seriously and purposly get involved.
Hey everyone,
I understand that you all feel like giving credit for either S or B or maybe both, and I truly agree with the fact that you want to explain or support your “team” because you can relate to either or both of them.
However, maybe Arushi will agree with me, I think that justifying them over and over doesn’t make things move; I read most of the posts here and even with arguments people still remain on their position.
Even though i personally have preferences of my own towards the show I really feel like it’s not what really matters because it doesn”t bring anything new to the subject beside comforting us in the idea that gossip girl succeeds in being a good tv show with some nice entertainment SINCE anybody can relate and feel concern.
But, as some said, it’s a show and I really don”t see why we should judge any of the characters; true we judge people everyday in the real life; but fiction isn”t just about doing to tv characters what you do to others; fiction is about trying with an exterior perspective to understand more of life, more of yourself.
As a reader and as a series fan I want to relate to other characters and to argue for my likes, true.
As a writer looking at myself as a viewer, more and more I get the feeling that we are no one to judge fictional characters and that the best we can do is try to understand them.
okay for one this blog sucks! its called the story witout blair being whiney and chuck growing up theres no basic story anymore. and from the start blair has been bitchy always has always will duuhhhhhhh
Blair has been extremely selfish, but I guess you could call it as that being in her nature. And in a situation where she needs to save herself, she would even take Chuck down if it meant getting what she needed. I agree, season 1 was fantastic, but season 2 and season 3, the writers sort of dozed off. Except the the Queen B thing, which has only been a minor problem and interest, I’m going to swtich over to another show soon if the writers don’t start adding some pizzazz and hook to it.
okay so i am usually alll for team B, but i really agree. as much as i still love her, she is becoming soo annoying and like they completely ruined her character this season.
and chuck….? you are completely right about him being a “grandpa business man” what the hell…. what happened to the funny, sexy, womanizing chuck bass?? i mean i get he has to mature a little bit but they jumped to about 50 years later.
but i still love chuck and blair together! that will never changeee.
@Pat Lester- Yep, I do largely agree with you.
@Aminah- You make no sense. Your ass sucks. I’m not one for being petty here but I’m not going to keep quiet if you’re not going to. Be amicable like everyone else, give your opinion intelligently and respect others’ and we’re good.
@Chair- Yep.
@hgfkla- Yeah! Though, I just want Chuck to lighten up a little, he’s not really annoying or anything. He’s still Chuck

Wow.. um (you weren’t very quiet or amicable in the first place)?
Comments like Aminah’s weren’t made for no reason. I was wincing the whole time I read your post, not because I like Blair, but because it was just so harsh and.. I can’t seem to find the right word :/ Really is it necessary to insult so much in the vicinity.
I’m not trying to defend Aminah or attack you.. in fact I’m trying to make things cool between us. I agree with most of your points, and have already (mostly) crossed over to Team S, but like I said above, most of us don’t take this TV show THAT seriously.
*Yawn* it’s 1:42 AM and I’m trying to finish my homework.. damn this site!
This season has sort of hit a lull. Jenny’s become really bitchy, but that angle has been played on and off since Season 1. Dan and Olivia are very cute, but that’s not really going anywhere either. Rufus and Lilly are doing the same things they always do–Lilly decides to make Rufus feel at home…blah, blah, blah. S had had this job for about half a century and nothing happens. Nate has become totally detached and mostly cut out of all of the major plots. Vanessa was not even included in the last episode and is basically doing nothing. Blair can be a bitch, but she and Chuck are great together and I have to say I am NOT getting bored with that! Last season, Blair and Chuck had such a rocky relationship and now I’m just glad they’ve seemed to have settled down. Blair really IS selfish, but I think she’s still doing a lot of growing up and I think she will soon see the light. Overall, I’ve liked Season 3, but it is becoming a tad repetitive–I seriously think the writers need to take some TV writing courses.
just shut the hell up! What else do you want them to write?!?!?! You guys are idiots! go suck a *** they are trying their best so leave them alone!
ok. well the thing is i agree with blair becoming very annoying with her mean bitchy self, but S is now becoming all high and mighty. After blair supoosedly backstabbed S she made up for in a way that S’s boss actually was proud of her,. and S had not even the courtesy to say thank u!!! FURTHEMORE~!!!! ppl are saying the chuck an blair have gotten really dull and boring, and they keep on saying it!!! SOOON the writers will realise that ppl dont like chuck and blair “together” and break them up completely.. NO THANKS!!!!!!
omg i agree with everything! its great that blairs a bitch but not when she is being one to her friends. blair has allways been really immature and needy. i dont like chair and my least favourite character is chuck i even like georgina more than him! and blair can be annoying but i love serena, jenny and nate!
Mm your right about some things but I think the B and S dynamic just wouldn’t work without B being the way she is and S taking it. They are more like sisters than bestfriends in that sense and I think it makes their releationship a little more real.
As for Chuck and Blair being “really dull” that is just… lol
I thought that at first as well but after re-watching the first two seasons and seeing everything they go through to end up together I can appreciate them as just a nice, semi normal couple wayyy more.
But anyway I really hope they focus a little more on certain characters for each episode because at the moment I feel them drifting between plots too much and they aren’t leaving enough time to explain each very well.
Apart from that I LOVE IT
@Sharon Tang- My post gave my opinion. Aminah’s said-

I think we’ve established that you can’t take people who say “duhhhhhh” seriously.
Thank you, Sharon. Things ARE cool between us

for starters, i dont think that you should point all the blame to blair.. yah, she chose C over S, hey, didn”t S do the same thing to B, when C found out that B was the one who called jack for help about the license.. and at the end of ep7, B was like asking S for some publicity thingy, which is like helping S because B is giving her a job, but no, she becomes so bitter about it and says she cant forgive B.. and yes B has been kinda childish, with that chuck-man-kiss..but she already asked for forgiveness and C forgave her.. and they moved on.. so why cant you??!! and yeah, B’s got her own ways of expressing herself, and its so unconventional, but its also what makes her unique.
and you know what S is just as bitchy as B coz whenever someone does something bad at S she gets back at them, just like what blair does..
and hey, who looks out for S, most especially when she needs help, isn’t it BLAIR, huh???
and why are you being so whiny about the storylines, if you’re not satisfied with it, then dont watch the series.. better yet make your own..
I agree that this season is a lot worse than the lasts. And that sucks, because the series has so much potential! So writers – peaaaaaaaaaase – get to your senses and write some cool episodes! Maybe it would help to get rid of some of the inceasing numer of side-side-side-charakters… What do you think?
Some people told me this new season is boring and Gossip Girl is dead before I started to watch the new season. I wouldn’t be surprised if they were right and I was already expecting to get tired of watching it on the 3rd season,.
But in my opinion, they were WRONG! I am loving this new season and to be honest I kind of like this fight between Blair and Serena. It can happen in real life as well, i’ve seen many friends who stopped talking because they had some stupid fight.
And I am loving Blair and Chuck together, but to be honest, I used to cheer for Blair and she is just so stupid and childish that now I am on Serenas side.
you are so right!
btw i really think nate and serena should be together again i think
i loved the first episode of season 2 when they kissed on the white party.
now it’s crap and it’s all sad.
its lost the fun side of being rich, that made us all feel great and jealous at the same time.
gg don’t lose your spirit!
i love chair, but it’s getting boring indede,
and i’ve always been team serena fyi.
I agree with you about your season three comments, but not about B. B’s most tragic flaw is that she acts out against people when she’s feeling angry or upset. She feels threatened by Serena’s new job and thinks that they’re drifting apart. You can’t expect B to completely lose that kind of immaturity just because she’s in college and has a new BF. That’s most likely always going to be part of who she is, it’ll just be toned down as she grows up. Also, S is the one acting like a whore by fake-dating Patrick just to keep her job. In the end, B did the mature thing by calmly ending their friendship.
And yes, I agree that B’s personality is going down the drain, but I don’t think that she’s totally at fault. Serena can be very one-sided and (not purposefully) inconsiderate. B’s always going to be a little less mature than S, just because of who she is. I’d love to see her character develop past the “vengeful but secretly insecure bitch,” but right now that’s who she is and even though it’s partly her fault, passing over the blame totally isn’t fair.
BUT I do think Chuck making Serena feel bad was wrong. Sure, B’s his girlfriend, but he shouldn’t really be involved in their catfights. It’s just going to fuck things up even more.
Oh, and Chuck sucks now, too. He’s either a “Blair, I love you” sap, or a “I have to make ten bajillion dollars or I’m NEVAR going to be respected” crybaby.
Episode List- to get the juices going! Enjoy…xoxo

10 (53) “The Last Days of Disco Stick[30]” Tony Wharmby Leila Gerstein November 16, 2009 TBA

As a favor to Chuck, Jenny agrees to hang out with Damien (guest star Kevin Zegers), the son of an ambassador who is staying at Chuck’s hotel, but the experience proves to be a lot more intriguing than she expected.
okay, for the record, all of you saying that chuck and blair are boring, just shut up! last season you all were bitching “omg chuck needs to say i love you” or “they need to be together” and crap like that, but now that they are finally together, you are all like “they’re so boring” or “chuck’s too boring”! what the hell do you want! chuck’s not boring, he just grew up and now he has his own company and he finally learned how to settle down and love blair and stop being a man whore! isn’t that what you all wanted?!!? when they’re not together, you want them 2 be and when they’re finally together, you’re all bitching about how its boring! it doesn’t make sense! i agree, they are less filled with drama but that’s the whole point of a relationship! if they were down each other’s throats all the time, they wouldn’t have a loving or stable relationship! they would just be fighting all the time! you should be thankful that the writers of the show listened to all your complaining and made them a couple because they could have choose not to! so shut your mouths and just enjoy them being together and being happy for once because i for one am happy that they manage to keep a good relationship and manage to stay in love =D CHAIR <3!
i definately agree with everything u just sed!!!!! CHAIR FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!
I agree!!
I am happy about CHAIR!
every one on this site is a bitch. I can not believe i even bothered writing such a deep and meaning full comment about this show which took me hours of work and i even got wrist cramp
U all put me down and know I want to go into a dark corner and cut myself……………..:(
. BTW IAM RIGHT ABOUT EVERYTHING. THIS SHOW IS SHIT NOW AND IT HAS BEEN ANOUNCED THAT IT WON’T MAKE IT PAST SEASON 4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
wat the fuck? ;(
ok I don’t know what’s going on here on this wite but someone used my name to post awful things!!!
like Crazy Daisy said, “what the fuck?”
Can anyone tell me if this has ever happened before???
I really don’t think season 3 is bad at all. There were a lot of new story lines and it’s better than ever. The Chuck and Blair scenes are cute and show that they are truly in love. Why should they constantly have problems and cheating or whatever for people to find it “interesting”? They are finally in a mature relationship.
Yes. 100% true!
I don;t think they constantly have to cheat and have problems for people to find it interesting, there is enough of couples like that in the other series like Melrose Place for example.
Arushi you know what, shut the fuck up! i just watched the episode 8 of gossip girl season 3 and i really think that you shouldnt focus all you pent-up rage (which is i think you should direct to yourself) to blair.. shut up.. o know you have an opinion but yours is overboard.. that’s why now i know im also being way overboard.. B is not some nicey-nicey girl who expresses herself in the usual manner.. just like what chuck said, you should be able to read into the blair waldorf subtext.. because the truth is blair really cares for S.. and B’s unusual way of expressing herself is her way of showing S that she should get a grip and make live her life..live a life that’s worth living for.. and dont just be a slave to your boss who just makes use of your connections and social status,, screw the boss who makes you like a whore for paying you to date a movie star whose only return-to-fame is a fake relationship with an it-girl like serena… from the looks of this ep. B is really looking out for S, and is tring to get her back to reality.. cos her so-calle job is really drifting her away not only from her friends but also her family… and how can S prove herself, that she can get a job (a respectable and dignified one), if she is getting paid for a fake relationship- and that includes kissing in public.. that’s like being a whore without just getting into bed..
im so sorry if this was offensive,, i just really think that you were very harsh and somehow blindsighted by something when you wrote this..
and dont get me wrong, i also like S.. i love it when they are together and helping each other.. i love their friendship.. and i hope they can work this out.. B+S= a lot of fans being happy..
thats it.. i just really think that its unfair for blaiming this on B.. and making S look like the victim.. they are both at fault..
@whatever arushi- Firstly, I wasn’t trying to be offensive. And I’m sorry if I was. BUT in response to your ” because the truth is blair really cares for S.. and B’s unusual way of expressing herself is her way of showing S that she should get a grip and make live her life..live a life that’s worth living for.. and dont just be a slave to your boss who just makes use of your connections and social status,, screw the boss who makes you like a whore for paying you to date a movie star whose only return-to-fame is a fake relationship with an it-girl like serena”-
Serena was just trying to make Blair realize that what she did by calling Jack was wrong. And B got mad.
Anyway. Let’s not reiterate what has already been spoken of enough.
We’re all good!
The next episode seems promising, in the least!

ya’ll keep complaining ang judging.. its just a show people…. ya’ll keep commenting yet ya’ll still keep watchin… what’s the deal??? why don’t you all just sit back and watch. LEt the producers, directors, whoever -people-behind the show just do do their jobs.
