Both Blair AND Chuck need to stop taking the other’s love for granted and simply have trust and faith in one another. Also, their ralationship cannot always involve material items and for once they need to show their love for each other without the help of objects (i.e. photo from The Lost Boy, jewelry, clothing, etc.).

What’s not clear? Blair said she wanted to play that old game from the summer, but her real intention was to give what the other guy wanted: a kiss from Chuck. In exchange for the speach. So they made a deal with him, and Chuck didn’t have a clue. So Blair basically tricked Chuck (she showed up late on purpose, the Dorota excuse was so lame) and I think it’s probably the most messed up thing I ever heard…
And to top it, everyone heard that when she said that she was lying to him. It must have been pretty humiliating for him, no? If something like this happened to me, I would break up immediately… At least to make the other think.:)
So it was the least of Blair to apologize. The very least… And no wonder Chuck wanted some time alone without her.

And I also don’t think that previously Blair gave more in this whole thing. Yes, she was rejected by Chuck but not like she rejected him for Nate. He never loved anyone else, and he was always willing to put aside his dignity to fight her. (She too, that’s true.)

Anyway, I think they are the best couple ever. I’d never really watched any show like this one. And I think what the writers have created between them is unique. Hope it won’t get boring.

And Blair forever, she has the best quotes!!:D (GG is really funnier this season, that big pink claw thing was over the top… “and she has that big pink claw thing…?! -Well I don’t know about that, however…”:D:D)

I didn’t understant the reason they fought as well. I don’t know what got to Chuck, and why Blair seemed so desperate when she looked at him. I’ll have to watch it again.
Your explanation about their ego based relationship seems pretty right, except though that I didn’t feel that Chuck makes his ego a priority, compared to Blair…
maybe next episode will clear things up, you know, in the ” previously on GG “
